The photographs are of various members of the Greeves family, who grew-up and worked in Bedford. The photographs feature Jane Higgins' father, Ivan John Greeves (b. 29 October 1934) at Bedford School, and her grandfather, John Robert Greeves (b. 4 August 1905), who was also known as 'Jack' and worked for Bedford Borough Police between 1929 and 1960. John Greeves was a keen bowler and won several trophies for the force's team. He also ran the Police Sports Club House. Also featured in the collection is the depositor's great aunt, 'Babs' Glidewell (also known as 'Nellie'), who worked at Elstow Munitions Depot during the war and then at the Royal Aircraft Establishment. Upon her retirement from the RAE in 1976, she was presented with an Imperial Service Medal.
