- Scope and ContentBonds to be discharged £500, in which brother-in-law Herman Hingsberg was bound with testator to Joseph Freame. £140, in which testator was singly bound to Joseph Freame. After Aspley Guise Enclosure, the testator persuaded his twos sons, Richard and Briggins, to divide the lands settled on them by the testator's marriage settlement, so that each held allotments nearest his own lands. By this Richard acquired lands worth £16..5..4 more than Biggins' lands. To rectify this, the testator requests Richard to assign to Biggins:- Crabtree Meadow Under Steppington Meadow Plowed Powage 14 acres of the Hill Land that Samuel Wooden now rents to be laid out in a straight line so to be drawn to cut off the said 14 acres from that which lies next to Powage. Testator bequeaths to Biggins: New dwelling house I have lately built in which Samuel Wooden now lives, with yards, outhouses etc. Rositer Lane Field 15 acres of Hill land, remainder of what is now let to Samuel Wooden All Hill land now let to Thomas Smith at the New Inn Messuage with yard, outhouses etc., in occupation Ralph French All pieces of land allotted by Enclosure to testator, lying on W. side of road leading to London, and N. side of road leading from Aspley to Hogsty End provided Briggins pays £1230 towards paying testators debts. Testator bequeaths to Richard: Mansion house I now live in, and new house adjoining in occupation Richard, William Joyce and testator Dovehouse Close Whitstering Ground Cannalls (Close) Moors (Close) Dry and Lammas (Closes) Crickhill Small Close called the Nursery, lately bought of Water Scott, esquire Outhouses (Small dairy and new buildings on E. side of yard, coachhouse, with new erected buildings on N. side of yard, stable on NW. corner, Dovehouse and Dovehouse Close, Summer house in the garden, and two little tenements in Lammas Crickhill) Fullway Common Fullway Meadow 2 pasture grounds in occupation J Walduck Little enclosed patch of ground adjoining to Berry Lane All pieces of land allotted to testator by Enclosure on E. side of road from Salford to London and on S. side of road from Aspley to Hogsty End Messuage in occupation Thomas Showler Messuage in occupation Thomas Quarry, J Adkins and Thomas Goodman Messuage in occupation Robert Spurford and Clarke with closes and orchard belonging Tenement in occupation Thomas Hulls provided Richard pays £2,800 towards paying testator's debts. Personal estate consists of debts owing, rents and arrears of rent, money in and about London and elsewhere for dung, ashes and other things sold from my laystalls and from one parish for cleaning the streets, wine and other things; household goods at Aspley and Puddle Dock, London; horses and other cattle, carts, utensils of husbandry used about the laystalls and other places; corn, hay, wine and other effects.
