His health has improved, however the bad weather has prevented him starting “Mount Guard”. Mr Davies left on board the Thames Frigate last Thursday and he will miss his company as there are few amusements in Gibraltar, except a weekly ball given by General Boyd. Mentions Kelly was terrified of going to the West Indies, however he hopes he enjoys his estate of £15000 p.a. Asks to be remembered to Mr Shadwell and Grantham’s brother Frederick.
