    Archdale notes: "Of course G.Powers will be as nasty as he can, and try and grab a lot of things not belonging to him." Writer authorises Hooper to act as necessary to prevent this; Maydon reports letting of parts of the farm to George Rowlett and George Dilley; warns that Powers not observing tenants' obligations relating to hay & straw. He also reports the subsequent letting of the rest of the farm to Hawkins, George Powers's lack of co-operation, especially his removal of buildings.
