Mr William Adams of Upwell, Norfolk, proprietor of an estate in the occupation of his tenant Dear, that he is entitled to an ancient footpath over a close called Cox’s Orchard in Clifton and thence over certain enclosures called Baker Whig Close belonging to Edmund Fernley Wittingstall and Henry Palmer respectively. Mr Adams living so far away and not taking the paper in which the notice was printed, Adams received notice by letter from his tenant and was unable to act in the 8 days given.
