    Willyngton View of Frankpledge with Court of the aforesaid Elizabeth Petre held there on the xxv [25th] day of October in the fourth and fifth year of the aforesaid King and Queen (1557) Essoins William Benett The Homage or xiju [12] Sworn Men John Riseley Thomas Smalwood Edward Cleyton Thomas [illegible] John Fischer Robert Osmond Thomas Clerke John Warner John Smythe William Byngham Christopher Myton Thomas Myton John Yarway Nicholas Luke esquire, first Baron of the Exchequer Suit of Court They present that John iiijd [4d] Aleyn esquire and Alicia should be present Myton, widow, owe Suit of Court etc Land silver vs viijd [5s 8d] Also they present that they gave to the lady as land silver on this day with ten pieces of land [illegible] on this day Common fine xjd [11d] They present that they gave xjd [11d] as Common Fine to the lady this day Bakers of bread And also they present that [illegible] iiijd [4d] and John iiijd [4d] Couper of the town of Bedford were Common bakers of bread and broke the Assize. Therefore they were amerced and [were?] separately [illegible] Strays Also they present that a certain cow called a [illegible] which came as a stray within this demesne for more than a year was valued by the Sworn Men at ijs [2d] Meadow broken and certainly they present that Daniel Clerk broke [into?] the lady’s meadow and took [illegible] two [illegible] the loss of [illegible] Therefore he is amerced ijd [2d] Insethouse And also the aforesaid Sworn Men present that John Gostwyke, gentleman, [illegible] knocked down and destroyed the hedge next to her land by the entrance to the lane called the Milne Lane lying next to the land of the lady on both sides. Therefore they order to the same John that he puts right the aforesaid destroyed hedge in front of the lady’s land before the next Court, under a penalty of forfeiting iijs iiijd [3s 4d] to the lady Election of Constable John Cleyton was elected as Constable and sworn in [check this] Sum of the perquisites of this Court [blank] Assessors of fines John Yawey [sic] John Fischer
