- Scope and ContentStated that she was the widow of Edmund Day, decd., and that her late husband had said that, at about Michaelmas 1783, he let himself to his Uncle, William Day, of Northaw, Herts, as a yearly servant at a wage of 13 guineas per annum: Day lived with his uncle under the hiring for two years, receiving his wages accordingly. Day had said that his place of settlement was Northaw. No other settlement since her husband’s death. Four children by her late husband, none of whom had gained any settlement in their own right: Edmund, Dinah, Daniel and John, aged approximately 9, 7, 5 and 4 years respectively.
