Powells are on a visit, Elizabeth looks pretty. Had some archery the other day. Lady Vere and Mr and Mrs Ca? dined here yesterday. Charles has gone to shoot with Richard, has shot 70 brace of partridge. Thomas took up some snares this morning very near the house, "which much exited his wrath". Mr Fry preached a very good sermon yesterday afternoon.
