  • Admin/biog history
The Charity was created by Mary Lockington by will of 1730. It is now combined with that of her sister, Blandina Marshe, who set up the Ladies Lodge at Dunstable for the benefit of respectable, poor maiden gentlewomen. At the beginning of the 20th century, the 2 charities were administered by the same trustees and between them (in addition to the Ladies Lodge) they owned property in Soulbury, Bucks, Totternhoe, Toddington, Hockliffe, Eggington and Stanbridge.
